.... Forum IRF : Peserta Mualaf Wanita Dibuli, Ditakutkan Dengan ‘Kemungkinan Dibunuh Oleh Orang Islam’ | AAKJ

“I have one comment and one question for every one of you. Is that ok? When we dicsuss about any sort of ism, secularism or nihilism, my contention is that why are we speaking on this linear fallacy of human philosophy? I understand you want to start secularism from the point of enlightenment but the truth of the fact is that, secularism where we talk about the separation of church and state origins is all the way from 1st, 1AD in Rome. Right? Where you have an issue where the Christians were told to worship God of Fortuna and Caesar who was the Ruler. At that point they a very strong Greeks philosophy and debates between the Greeks churches and the Greeks philosophers. Therefore most of your ism originated from a very paganistic or very polyestic mindset. Let’s just separate the issue on politics for a while.”

“To me not a question of system. If we do not have kleptocratic state, racists running the country, extremist religious leaders coming out with stupid ideas rather than dealing with serious problems that people face, we will still be, we would still have a good economy and political system.”

Beliau kemudiannya menegaskan bahawa “We have a good system but bad people running the system.”

“I’m a Mualaf and only last year that I accepted Islam. Actually the reason was simply because. The argument in Fiqh Muamalat is social justice, is wealth equality and it has nothing to do with the Islamic notion or Hudud, that’s very low on the list of this debate. All I’m contending is, I want to hear your stand, because you, you all are leaders who are out here speaking, if you are not clear in your stand, why should I listened to you all. Facts you know? What do you fighting for? We should be angry, OK at what?”

“You become a Muslim recently, is that what you said? Welcome to Islam, but if you want to leave you might be killed.”

“You see this is the mentality, one of the, was it the mufti or one of the religious leaders recently, in a negeri isn’t it, I think he actually said that, in Islam, you cannot do it in Malaysia because the law don’t allowed it. But in Islam if you leave Islam you should be killed. This is the kind of mentality we are dealing with and basically when people like a Dr Farouk are saying we should have Secular State, he is not asking for a label a different label for the state. The issue is not that the issue we do not want to be ruled by people with that mentality. We do not want to be rule by people who reduced Islam to rules and regulations. 1stof all they have a distorted view of the rules and regulation like and apostate should be killed. And then they want to police our morality. Jailed or fined people not attending Friday prayer. All this kind of things. They want to restrict non-Muslims. Going around telling people be glad that you are allowed to live in this country we accept you as Malaysians. Be glad and don’t ask for too much. Very kind of dangerous and kind of fascistic kind of talk. This is how our, you know, religious establishment has become and we are very afraid of that. And we say we want secular state and we don’t want to be ruled by such religious type.”
